Students seeking the minor will deepen their understanding of concepts outlined in the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Science Technology and Engineering and they will be exposed to inquiry-based pedagogy and best practices in science and mathematics instruction. While the minor is intended primarily for Education students, it is open to all students whose interests include working in an educational setting.

Graduates are prepared for careers such as:
-STEM teacher)
-Science or mathematics educator
-Curriculum developer
-Instructional coach
-Educational technology specialist
