Blood and Disorders: You’ll gain in-depth knowledge about how human blood functions and the disorders that can impact it. This includes studying blood cell formation, full blood counts, and various types of anaemia such as nutritional anaemia, haemoglobinopathies, and immune haemolytic anaemia. 🩸
Haemostasis and Malignancies: You’ll explore normal haemostasis and related disorders, as well as haematologic malignancies like leukemias, lymphomas, myelomas, myelodysplasia, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. 🩺🧬
Transfusion Science: The course covers blood transfusions and donation, including blood typing, tissue typing techniques, and handling reactions to transfusions. Safety measures and care of blood products are also key components. 💉🔍
Ethical and Legal Issues: Ethical and legal considerations in research areas such as assisted reproduction, genetics, and human or animal research will be addressed. ⚖️🧪
