For Art majors with an Emphasis in Studio Art, completing your degree involves a key final component: the Senior Overview and participation in the Senior Show 🎨🎉.

  • Senior Overview: This is a showcase of your best work from the final semester of your senior year, created in one of your chosen studio areas 🖼️✨. This work may come from a regular studio course or an independent study project.
  • Senior Show: Held at the end of the Spring semester in the Cecille R. Hunt Gallery, this event is where you will present your work to the public and faculty 🖼️🏛️.
  • Advisor Role: Your senior overview advisor, who is the instructor of your final studio course, will guide and approve your submitted work. The director of the Senior Show also reviews the work 🧑‍🎨👨‍🎨.
  • Summer Graduates: If you graduate at the end of the summer term, you are expected to participate in the Senior Show before completing your coursework 🌞📅.
